Gameplayĭue to Nova being permanently invisible, she can roam the map easily and help pick off targets. Landing it in a big team fight is immensely satisfying. The only downfall is that there is a charge up time and enemies will be able to see where it will strike. It does nearly the same amount of damage as Triple Tap except that it is an AOE instead of single target spell. It is targeted, so is extremely easy to pull off. It is ideal for singling out a lone target, or a squishy enemy in a team fight. Triple Tap is an insanely high damage nuke. Being on the receiving end though is incredibly painful. I love being the one to use these abilities. Her next ability, Holo Decoy, is great for creating confusion or aiding in her escape should she be caught out Ultimate Abilities This is perfect for singling out people or stopping an enemy from getting away. It will do less damage than Snipe, but will also add a 30% slow for a short duration. Pinning shot is much easier to land because it is targeted. It will do damage to the first enemy it hits. Her next ability snipe, is a skill shot which needs to be aimed. Cloak means that you will be permanently invisible when you remain out of combat. Her passive is the reason she does so well at sneaking around. This doesn’t mean she is bad in a team fight – she’s just a whole let better at assassination in comparison (via Gamepedia). Nova is all about stealth and being a hazard to those stragglers who are caught alone. Unfortunately, Nova doesn’t have her very own video, but she does make an appearance in the Heroes of the Storm cinematic trailer… That’s right, your request to have her in the spotlight has finally been fulfilled! This week we move over to the Starcraft universe and look at Nova, the sneaky ghost. Entertainment Earth also has the first wave’s set up for preorder and it should be shipping soon. It’s that time of the week again! Last week I covered Stiches, the disgusting abomination. They have also appeared on NECA’s Amazon store, so you can always grab them there. The figures have just started hitting the West Coast of the US. Most gamers refer to all action figures as Amiibos now, so thanks for that Nintendo! There has always been a bit of a divide between gamers and toy collectors, and not much overlap between them. NECA brought everything they could to this line, hopefully people like and buy it. Hopefully this isn’t the fate of Heroes of the Storm. Getting really well made action figures of my favorite Blizzard characters is a dream come true. I’m hoping that they sell well enough for NECA to go into production on the second series. Don’t overlook Nova, however, her figure is no slouch! We still have Stitches, Tyrael, and Arthas coming later this year, so the Heroes of the Storm action figure line is off and running. I did Illidan’s review first because the character is a personal favorite. Make Nova clear and you have a cloaked Nova.

Give Illidan a black and green paint scheme, some horns, and some wings and you have the demon Illidan.

Both characters can also pretty easily be made into variants. This wave apparently is also the ponytail wave since both figures come with a detached ponytail that needs to be inserted into the head once the figure is opened. I’m sure some people are make or break on if she can hold the gun with both hands, so I’m happy to report that she can.

That said, the gun is great because she’s able to hold it in a sniping position! She has a hole in her right hand that a peg from the handle of the gun can plug into to make it easy for her to hold it. I’ve got it sitting under a bit of weight right now, so hopefully in the next day or so it should be a little more straight. I kept on trying to adjust it back while I was shooting pictures, but in post I would notice the slightly crooked barrel and have to trash the picture. The barrel of the gun is made of a softer plastic so mine veers off slightly to the right. The sniper rifle is beautifully sculpted but has one little thing that drives me nuts. It’s definitely a step up from the very thin pegs on Dante who was released earlier this year. They made it thicker and the ball is bigger, so it’s more durable and holds the hand much better. The wrist peg for the alternate hand was done much better than some previous ones we’ve seen. Like Illidan, she comes packed in a very “ Heroes of the Storm” branded clamshell package, and includes her sniper rifle as well as an alternate pointing hand. Nova makes up the other half of this wave that she shares with Illidan Stormrage.
