I installed the Raspbian “wheezy” from here: or ask for help if i don't find what to do !

Then i will come back and explain how it's working. I will buy that when it will be avaible again ! Should i need something else (of course i have ethernet cable). I will buy it with a SD Card 16Go Class 10, a power supply and a case ! Should be avaible here (France) on 16th this month ! Your NeoRouter network will run faster, specially if you are using the web app (NeoRouter Remote Access Client for browsers). Raspberry Pi has a more powerful CPU that NeoRouter server can definitely benefit from it. Thanks for all your answer ! It's really helpful ! What should i add ? I saw they is no case, no power supply, and i will need a SD card. by the way, i will do some search about that. The Raspberry Pi seems to be very good too !īut why this choice ? It's working better ? I was more thinking about something like another router, used only as NeoRouter Server. I also highly recommend Raspberry Pi, though you will need a separate router. Both routers have 8MB flash and powerful CPUs. I use TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND (ar71xx) and ASUS WL-500GP V2 (mipsel). Which one is the most compatible or which one should be longer compatible ? Should i choose a OpenWRT compatible hardware ? OpenWRT seems to be supported by alot of different hardware, it is more "hard" to install. it's not really a good compatibility list avaible. Tomato seems to be more easy to install/use. Raspberry (Paspbian) seems to be a powerful and funny platform ! But more expenssive as the others.

I could add a PC working 24h/24 and 7d/7 but i don't want to pay a crazy energy's bill !Īccording to this link:, i would like to find something cool, not too expenssive, not spending crazy energy only for a little server. I don't "need" a switch (but could maybe improve my actual network if it's a 1Gbps switch), i don't need Acces Point (i have the Fonera 2.0n and the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54) and i don't need a router (i'm using a Mikrotik RB750G).

It will be the only thing on this part of my network ! I will flash my router back into dd-WRT and buy something else for the NRserver !īut now i need to find something ready to run it for a long time ! I need to buy something new to run NeoRouter Server now.
